I AM ME

IN ALL THE WORLD, THERE IS NO ONE ELSE EXACTLY LIKE ME

EVERYTHING THAT COMES OUT OF ME IS AUTHENTICALLY MINE

BECAUSE I ALONE CHOSE IT-- I OWN EVERYTHING ABOUT ME MY BODY,

MY FEELINGS, MY MOUTH, MY VOICE, ALL MY ACTIONS, WHETHER THEY

BE TO OTHERS OR TO MYSELF -- I OWN MY FANTASIES, MY DREAMS, MY HOPES, MY FEARS, -- I OWN ALL MY TRIUMPS AND SUCCESSES, ALL MY

FAILURESAND MISTAKES BECAUSE I OWN ALL OF ME, I CAN BECOME INTIMATELY ACQUANTED WITH ME -- BY SO DOING I CAN LOVE ME

TO MYSELF, I CAN COURAGEOUSLY AND HOPEFULLY LOOK FOR SOLUTIONS TO THE PUZZLES AND FOR WAYS TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT ME HOWEVER

I LOOK AND SOUND, WHATEVER I SAY AND DO, AND WHATEVER

I THINK AND FEEL AT A GIVEN MOMENT IN TIME IS

AUTHENTICALLY ME -- IF LATER SOME PARTS OF

HOW I LOOKED, SOUNDED, THOUGHT AND FELT TURN OUT TO BE UNFITTING,I CAN DISCARD THAT WHICH IS UNFITTING, KEEP THE

REST, AND INVENT SOMETHING NEW FOR THAT WHICH I DISCARDED

-- I CAN SEE,HEAR, FEEL, THINK, SAY, AND I HAVE THE TOOLS TO

SURVIVE TO BE CLOSE TO OTHERS, TO BE PRODUCTIVE, AND TO

MAKE SENSE AND ORDER OUT OF THE

WORLD OF PEOPLE AND THINGS OUTSIDE OF ME -- I OWN ME, AND

THEREFORE PEOPLE AND THINGS OUTSIDE OF ME --I OWN ME, AND

THEREFORE I CAN INGINEER ME

We never exist alone. Our lives affect the lives of others and vice versa. If we consistently forget to rely on God for help or decide not to include him, how will this affect the way we influence others? How do you feel when fellow Christians demonstrate fear or a lack of faith? We don't have the luxury of thinking only of ourselves. Our responsibility to build others up should be an incentive to keep our courage in hard times. Are you facing tommorow with fear or worry? Can it hurt to choose to trust God anyway? You may end up encouraging soneone else as well as yourself.

The words my mother lived by.....

...Continue doing good to others in this world.

Rama will remove all your sorrows.

Whatever you have achieved, whatever you have lost.

Respect

Samuel 24:5-7


David had great respect for Saul even though Saul was trying to kill him. Although Saul was in a state of sin and rebellion against God, David still respected the position he held as God's anointed king. Even though David knew that it was not right to strike down the man God had placed on the throne. Romans 13:1-7 teaches that God has placed the government and its leaders in power. Like David, we are to respect the positions and roles of those to whom God has given authority. There is one exception, however, Since God is our highest authority, we should not allow a leader to force us to violate God's law.

My grandfather took me to the fish pond on the farm when I was about seven, and he told me to throw a stone into the water. He told me to watch the circles created by the stone.Then he asked me to think of myself as that stone person.

"You may create lots of splashes in your life but the waves that come from those splashes will disturb the peace of all your fellow creatures," he said."Remember that you are responsible for what you put in your circle and that circle will also touch many other circles. You will need to live in a way that allows the good that comes from your circle to send the peace of that goodness to others.

The splash that comes from anger or jealousy will send those feelings to other circles. You are responsible for both."That was the first time I realized each person creates the inner peace or discord that flows out into the world. We cannot create world peace if we are riddled with inner conflict, hatred, doubt, or anger. We radiate the feelings and thoughts that we hold inside, whether we speak them or not. Whatever is splashing around inside of us is spilling out into the world, creating beauty or discord with all other circles of life.
